4-Week Kids Class

After-school classes are tailored to the experience level of the group, which may vary from beginner to intermediate. More advanced students are encouraged to assist and guide others in a collaborative environment. Week one will include a review of basics (centering clay, pulling cylinders with control, testing and controlling wall thicknesses) and may then move into more advanced techniques and design challenges: making matching pitchers, plates or cups, designing a lidded pot, considering tall vase forms and surface pattern. Each student is encouraged to share drawings or designs from their own research, and all are invited to explore Inspiration pieces on display, as well as books and magazines in the library. All materials and supplies are included; We never charge for firing time.

If you need to cancel your class, please contact us 24 hours in advance to receive a refund. No refunds will be given for cancellations made less than 24 hours before the class start time.
